The ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight had it all: mixed tyre compound racing, wet weather, night racing and three different winners.

In the wake of a dramatic weekend of racing, Supercars.com lists the 10 key statistics from the weekend’s action.

124) Jamie Whincup won his record-extending 124th career race, and first since Race 7 at April’s Beaurepaires Tasmania SuperSprint.

5) It was Whincup’s fifth race win at Sydney Motorsport Park, bringing him level with Craig Lowndes. Only Mark Skaife (10), Marcos Ambrose (seven), Glenn Seton and Shane van Gisbergen (six) have more.

337) Whincup slashed van Gisbergen’s championship lead to 337 points; it was 418 points after Race 24, in which Whincup was 25th and van Gisbergen second.

23) Van Gisbergen finished Race 25 in 23rd. It was his worst classified finish since he finished 25th in the second Tasmania race in 2018, 107 races ago.

23) Chaz Mostert gained 23 positions in Race 25; he started 26th after being excluded from qualifying, and raced to third. It was his first podium since July’s WD-40 Townsville SuperSprint.

53) Van Gisbergen’s Saturday night win was the 53rd of his career, edging him closer to the 56 scored by Scott McLaughlin and Garth Tander.

7) Seven drivers are covered by 100 points in the fight for the Beaurepaires Sydney Cup - van Gisbergen, Will Davison, Anton De Pasquale, Nick Percat, Whincup, Will Brown and Mostert.

8) Anton De Pasquale raced from his eighth ARMOR ALL Pole of 2021 to victory in Race 24. He drew level with the season tallies of Peter Brock (1980), John Bowe (1995) and current teammate Davison (2012). Next on the list is Whincup's nine in 2011.

61) James Courtney claimed his second podium for Tickford Racing and 61st of his career in Race 24.

13) The BP Ultimate Safety Car made its first appearance in 13 races when it was deployed on Sunday night. Its previous appearance was Race 12 in Darwin.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will resume this weekend at the BP Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint.
