After recovering from a broken back caused in a severe crash at Phillip Island in September 2015, Matthew Palmer is back behind the wheel for his second consecutive season of the Dunlop Super2 Series.

Palmer completed three years in the third-tier Kumho Tyre V8 Touring Car series – his highlight third place overall in 2014 before moving up into the development series.

After his accident in 2015, he returned to contest the year’s final round, earning a podium at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Palmer started racing back in 2007, beginning in Superkarts. It took just two years to master the series, with Palmer winning the 2009 250 National Championship, before becoming NSW State Champion in 2010 and Victorian State Champion in 2011.

The following year he stepped up to start racing the lowest level Supercars.
