What is Supercars?

The Repco Supercars Championship (formally Australian Touring Car Championship) is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of Australia’s biggest sports.

From its humble roots as a single-race Series, the Repco Supercars Championship, previously known as the 'Australian Touring Car Championship' has grown to deliver exhilarating motorsport entertainment to fans across Australia.

What cars do we race?

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will be the third under the new Gen3 ruleset, with the Chevrolet Camaro joining the Ford Mustang on the grid. The Toyota GR Supra Supercar will make it's Supercars Championship debut in 2026 with Walkinshaw Andretti United, and a second yet-to-be-announced team. The new cars have been designed with an eye on a reduction in downforce, enhanced driver safety, improved racing and greater road relevance.

From roaring through the streets of Australia's biggest cities, to the annual pilgrimage to the rural town of Bathurst for the Great Race, Supercars action reaches fans all around the country. In 2025, a 13-event calendar spans across ten months and seven States and Territories, plus a trip across the ditch to NZ.
