FPR’s return to Dunlop Series has paid off early, with Cameron Waters scoring the first ARMOR ALL Pole Position of the year at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Waters steered his ENZED-backed Falcon to the front row, dialing a 1min21.8279 lap time to edge out Infants Friend’s Ashley Walsh by just 0.1397sec.
PIRTEK Enduro Cup co-driver and V8 Supercars favourite Paul Dumbrell (Eggleston Motorsport/Wilson Security) was close behind in third, with Andre Heimgartner (Finance Ezi) to start alongside on the second row.
The Dunlop Series kicked off the new qualifying system, which sees the 30-car field split in half so all cars get a clear run in the session.
The second tier category will run its first race of the season this afternoon with a 27-lap race on the Adelaide Parklands circuit.
