Will Brown excited to make Supercars rivals nervous again
2024 champ feels he can "pressure for race wins every weekend"

Make no mistake, Will Brown feels he has his mojo back — and that could spell tough times for his Supercars rivals.
After seven rounds plagued by a restrictor issue, Brown surged back into form with a brilliant round in Ipswich, before backing it up with speed at The Bend.
One race win in 29 starts doesn’t tell the whole story for Brown, who vowed to “have a crack” at Mount Panorama after his sterling drive in the Ryco Enduro Cup opener.
Co-driver Scott Pye was hit with two 15-second penalties, and the way the race fell, it was Brown who was held for 30 seconds in pit lane.
From there, the #888 Red Bull Ampol Mustang was on the move, offering a preview of what the rest of the field could be facing come October 11.
"Our results since the restrictor have been no worse than fourth, and good qualifyings as well,” Brown said on MotorRacing 360.
"I feel like we can really put it to these guys at Bathurst, have a really good race and I feel like we're back where we should be.
"If you look at my championship year, we were on the podium for every race meet of the year. I know last year wasn't exactly where we wanted to be, but I still feel like we can pressure for race wins every weekend.
"I'm excited about it. I’m excited rubbing doors with the guys back up the front and them getting a little bit nervous again that I might be there, so it's good.”
Brown has three podiums and the fourth since the start of Ipswich. Qualifying will be crucial in Bathurst to ensure the #888 Ford doesn’t need to spend time fighting through the field.
That was the case at The Bend, when a braking issue denied Brown. It’s not The Bend, however, that Brown is looking at.
"I'm happy to give the Tailem Bend 500 away to win Bathurst, to be honest,” Brown joked.
"I'm feeling confident again. Obviously last time I spoke to you guys on [the programme], I was a bit down, wasn't happy about the restrictor and everything that went on there.
"And to be honest, to bounce back how we did at Ipswich, got a win, two thirds, pole position…
“At Tailem Bend we had a bit of stuff going, didn't make the Shootout, but to drive the way back to fourth and be the fastest car in the main driver section, I think we have got our mojo back.”
Brown qualified for the 2026 Finals at The Bend, and is just 101 points behind fourth-placed Brodie Kostecki.
