Triple Eight to partner with Ford Racing for 2027 Bathurst 12 Hour
Broc Feeney, Will Brown to pilot factory-backed Mustang GT3 Evo
Triple Eight to enter 12 Hour for first time since 2024
Broc Feeney and Will Brown have been confirmed in a factory-backed, Triple Eight Race Engineering Ford programme for the 2027 Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour.
Having entered the 12 Hour several times, including winning on debut with Ferrari in 2017, Triple Eight will enter a Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, with Supercars stars Feeney and Brown confirmed as part of the driving trio, with a third driver still to be confirmed.
Feeney was part of the Mustang's 12 Hour debut in February, driving a Haupt Racing Team-prepared entry with factory Ford GT3 pilots Dennis Olsen and Chris Mies, though the car retired inside the opening minutes after Mies hit a kangaroo.
Having had a taste for what the previous-specification Mustang could do around Mount Panorama, Feeney is raring to return with a familiar team and an upgraded Mustang package.
"The 12 Hour is one of my favourite races every year, always look forward to it," said Feeney.
"Was lucky enough to pair up with the international guys and drive the Ford for the first time this year at the start of the year. Lots left on the table there, unfortunately I didn't get to do a lap of the race because of the kangaroo hit... but stoked to be going back for another crack especially with Triple Eight.
"Some good experiences around Bathurst in a GT car — I think I started on the front row three years in a row, we've been in Shootouts, would love to get a pole position in one of those cars around my favourite track."
"Pumped to be back in the car with Will, that car is a beast, it's an upgrade from what I drove this year. It's going to be exciting to drive with him, and it's going to be exciting to announce who that third driver will be.
"But to have Ford (Racing) on board with their full support behind T8 for the 12 Hour is great."
"It's just such a fun event, pumped to be a part of it again and even more pumped to be doing it with a co-driver and crew who we know each other so well already."
Triple Eight last entered the 12 Hour with a pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3s in 2024, marking Brown's first officials start with the Banyo squad after his move from Erebus after 2023.
Brown will make his first start in a Mustang GT3 Evo, having driven a variety of GT3 cars over the years: "How exciting is this, we love racing at Bathurst, love racing the 12 Hour each year, now to do it with Triple Eight and in a Mustang that's really exciting.
"Obviously Broc drove something similar to that car last year, I saw it on track and it looked good, it looked fast. Great opportunity to keep doing bigger things with Ford (Racing) and take that car out around The Mountain.
"Cool to be driving in the same car as Broc again as well - we work so closely together during the season yeah as a team but it's our own cars, our own gear, our own crew. We're all in it together for this and that's going to be an awesome experience."
"We did the 12 Hour the first year I joined Triple Eight and since then I've really wanted to do it again with the team here — so super pumped, super pumped to have Ford behind it, doing the 12 Hour in that Mustang GT car... feels like we can be strong."
"Excited to announce who the third driver is, even more excited to see the car wrapped and ready to go - this is exciting!"
Feeney, Brown, and Triple Eight aren't the first Supercars talents confirmed to take part in the 2027 12 Hour, with Chaz Mostert, Cam Waters, and Thomas Randle returning in Scott Taylor Motorsport's Mercedes, managed by Erebus CEO Barry Ryan.
Both Feeney and Brown remain in contention for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship, which continues at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 from November 6-8.
The Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour will be held from February 11-14.
