Chaz Mostert, Ryan Wood to debut new Toyotas in Sydney
Walkinshaw Andretti United has transformed into Walkinshaw TWG Racing ahead of its latest chapter as the lead Toyota team in Supercars.
Announced last year, WAU was set to be rebranded as Walkinshaw TWG Racing after United Autosports stepped away from its ownership stake in the team.
United Autosports, founded by Zak Brown and Richard Dean, steps away from Walkinshaw in order to focus on its European and endurance racing programs, including its entry into the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2027 with McLaren United.
From February 3, the Walkinshaw TWG Racing name takes effect. Walkinshaw TWG Racing’s ownership structure will, for the immediate future, be split between the two existing parties, Walkinshaw Group and TWG Motorsports.

The Walkinshaw TWG Racing era starts with a new car and a reigning champion driver, with Chaz Mostert ending the team's 23-year wait for a drivers' championship last year.
Mostert and Ryan Wood will debut their new GR Supras at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20-22 next year. The team is also transitioning into a new headquarters.
Speaking after winning the title, Mostert was proud to end the WAU/Ford era with championship glory, in what was his sixth season with the team.
“It's one of those ones where I came through into the sport where it was, you bleed blue or you bleed red,” Mostert said on The Formation Lap.
“The passion of our fans is second to none. For me, it was a really weird moment in my career going to represent Holden. When I first come to Walkinshaw Andretti United, it was the first time I went away from Ford.
"I reached out to guys like Craig Lowndes, saying, 'how am I supposed to handle this?'
"It was a full circle moment, coming back to Ford in the Gen3 era and bringing Walkinshaw Andretti United along for that journey as well has been been so cool. .
"The last couple years have been really tough on the Ford side. The grit that the organisation has showed there to keep supporting through some leaner results, and the car getting faster and faster and getting in the window to go for a championship.
"Just to be able to reward everyone at Ford, and the amount of three years I've raced for them is just so fitting to finish on that relationship."
