Cody Burcher named ambassador for Kids with Cancer Foundation
Kids with Cancer Foundation to adorn #36 Eggleston Commodore from Darwin
2024 Super3 champion to provide special experiences for sick children and their families
Cody Burcher has unveiled a special new partnership ahead of the second round of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series.
Burcher will run with backing from the Kids with Cancer Foundation on his #36 Eggleston Motorsport Commodore from Darwin, having become an ambassador for the charity.
The Orange driver will also wear Kids with Cancer branding on his race suit and helmet, and is working with the charity to provide at-track experiences for kids who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.
The new partnership was facilitated through the Montag family, founders of Burcher's long-time backers AWCON, with the 2024 Super3 champion proud to be making a difference both on and off the track.
“Racing has given me so much — opportunity, purpose, and a path I could never have imagined growing up," Burcher said.
"But the further I get in this sport, the more I want what I do to mean something beyond the race day results.
"Kids with Cancer Foundation supports kids and families going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and they do it with a lot of heart.
"It was a no brainer to choose them because I believe in what they stand for and the impact they have. I want every kid to know that the whole motorsport community is cheering for them.”
Kids with Cancer Foundation CEO Todd Prees added: “What the Montag family and Cody have done in gifting this opportunity to Kids with Cancer Foundation is an act of incredible generosity, and it speaks to the kind of generous support that can be found throughout our community.
"As a charity, we rely on the support of everyday people across Australia to donate, fundraise, and volunteer. It is this generosity which helps us provide our vital support programs to kids and their families.
"For the kids and families, we support, seeing Cody race for them on a national stage will mean more than we can put into words.”
The DUNLOP Super2 Series takes to Darwin for the first time in series history with two practice sessions on Friday.
