Goodall dominant in Perth finale, Love claims round honours

Reuben Goodall has dominated the final race of Round 3 of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series in Perth to claim his first career race win.

Goodall got the jump off the front row and was never headed, as the South Australian got the perfect springboard into his maiden main game enduro campaign, where he will join Thomas Randle at Tickford.

Whilst he wasn't able to capitalise on a sweep of the Boost Mobile Pole Awards, Aaron Love was able to secure his first ever round win on his Super2 return, and the first for Eggleston Motorsport since Sydney 2025.

Love bogged down from pole position off the start, with Goodall easily taking the lead into Turn 1, and Nash Morris also getting a great jump from fourth to jump to second by the first corner.

It was a clean opening lap throughout the field, whilst lap 2 got off to a wild start further back in the pack as Ayrton Hodson locked horns with debutant Lincoln Taylor through Turns 3 and 4, whilst Matt Hillyer also got into the mix at Turn 5.

At the head of the field Goodall was bolting, putting more than a second on teammate Morris in the first five laps, and reeling off three straight fastest laps as he led his first career Super2 laps.

Goodall's day was made better by struggles for series leader Lochie Dalton, who couldn't make any headway from his starting position of seventh, and found himself falling back to eighth after a move by Bayley Hall on lap 13.

By lap 20, Morris had slipped to two seconds behind his teammate, but got a huge free kick when the Shannons Safety Car was deployed on lap 23, as Elliott Cleary ran off into the sand at Turn 1.

Taylor also ground to a halt whilst the safety car was out, having picked up front end damage after he hit the back of Cleary at Turn 7 before he ran long at Turn 1.

It also spelled bad news for Ryan Tomsett, who had a five second penalty hanging over his head after contact with Bailey Sweeny at Turn 7.

The race went back to green with eight minutes remaining on the clock, Goodall judging the restart well to build a second over Morris in the first lap back under green.

Bayley Hall pulled a switchback move on Campbell Logan to move up to sixth at Turn 1 on lap 28, whilst those ahead continued to maintain the order they'd been in since the end of lap 1.

Zak Best's weekend to forget was capped off by an unforced error at Turn 7 on the penultimate lap, though he was able to drag his Anderson Motorsport Ford out of the sand.

That meant Goodall could sweep home untroubled with a six tenth winning margin over Morris, with Love home third to claim round honours.

Ben Gomersall came home fourth ahead of Brad Vaughan, with Hall, Logan, Dalton, Cody Burcher, and Sweeny rounding out the top 10.

Round 4 of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series will be held on the sport's biggest stage at the Repco Bathurst 1000 from October 8-11.
