Bates Camaro to carry artwork by Wadawurrung artist Billy-Jay O'Toole
Rookie Bates sits 17th in points heading to Darwin on June 19-21
Matt Stone Racing has uncovered the Bendix Racing-inspired Indigenous Round livery for rookie Zach Bates' Chevrolet Camaro.
The #10 Camaro will carry artwork by Wadawurrung artist Billy-Jay O'Toole, which celebrates the landscapes, stories and cultural significance of Wadawurrung Country.
Wadawurrung Country is where Bendix’s core team has been located since the company's founding in 1955.
The artwork features representations of local hills, waterways and eucalyptus leaves, symbolising connection to Country, journey and welcome.
Prominent throughout the design are four culturally significant birds – Bunjil the wedge-tailed eagle, Waa the crow, Kunawarra the black swan and Pawan the magpie. Each bird holds an important place in Wadawurrung culture and creation stories.

Meeting places and handprints also reflect Bendix's journey across different Countries through the Supercars season, while recognising the commitment of its people to honouring and celebrating First Nations culture.
Team owner Stone said: "The Indigenous Round is an important event on the Supercars calendar and we're incredibly proud to showcase Billy-Jay's artwork on the Bendix Racing Camaro in Darwin.
Bates added: "The car looks incredible and every element of the artwork has a story behind it.
"Learning about the meaning of the design and the significance of the symbols Billy-Jay has incorporated gives you a real appreciation for the culture and history it represents.
"I'm proud to race this livery in Darwin and to help share those stories with Supercars fans around the country."
Bates sits 17th in the points, with track action commencing on Friday June 19.
