Erebus Motorsport unveils new look for Perth
Rookie Jobe Stewart to run Mercedes-inspired livery
Local businesses Spinifex Sheds, Vibe Petroleum jump onboard
Erebus Motorsport has brought back one of its earliest Supercars liveries for rookie Jobe Stewart.
The 2023 Supercars teams' champions unveiled a refreshed #9 Camaro for the South Australian young gun in Perth on Thursday afternoon, with two local businesses jumping onboard.
Spinifex Sheds joins Erebus for the first time as primary partner, whilst Vibe Petroleum returns to the team after backing Cooper Murray last year.
The livery pays homage to the team's 2014 'Tron' liveries run on their pair of Mercedes E63 AMGs for drivers Lee Holdsworth and Will Davison.
It's not the first time Erebus has paid homage to the Mercedes scheme in WA, Brodie Kostecki having also run the livery at the 2024 Perth event.
"The car looks incredible, and it's awesome to have Spinifex Sheds onboard as Primary Partner for the weekend," Stewart said.
"It's always special racing with local businesses behind you, and hopefully we can put on a great show for Simon, the Spinifex Sheds team and everyone from Vibe Petroleum."
Spinifex Sheds Managing Director Simon Busby added: "I've always been passionate about motorsport and there's nothing quite like experiencing Supercars from inside a professional race team.
"When the opportunity came up to become Primary Partner for Car 9, it was something we jumped at. Erebus has built a fantastic reputation, Jobe is an exciting young driver, and we're looking forward to being part of the team this weekend."
One of the E63s was recently sold to a new owner, with Erebus COO Carly Hammersley saying that the opportunity to celebrate the team's history pairs with welcoming new partners to the team.

"Simon and his team have a genuine passion for motorsport, and partnering with businesses that want to immerse themselves in the sport and support emerging talent is exactly what Erebus is about."

"The livery itself is something we hope our fans enjoy. Bringing back the Tron-inspired design is a celebration of our history, while looking ahead to an exciting future with partners like Spinifex Sheds."
On-track action in Perth begins with two practice sessions on Friday, beginning at 3:00pm local time/5:00pm AEST.
