A red flag has been called at the Destination NSW Test Day after a mob of kangaroos jumped onto the track.
Officials quickly moved to suspend the session as kangaroos emerged trackside near Turn 3.
All drivers were quickly notified of the 'roos, which all got away safely as cars returned to pit lane.
It was the latest story in what has proven a rollercoaster Destination NSW Test Day, which has been split across two days over two different track layouts.
The week began with news that Sydney Motorsport Park was undertaking urgent capital works at Turn 8.
Supercars and circuit organisers agreed on a plan to split the DNSW Sydney Test Day over two days, using two different circuit layouts.
Wednesday's running was used on the short Druitt Circuit layout, before Thursday evening's session was run on the traditional Gardner Circuit.
At the time of the red flag, Cam Waters led a Tickford Racing one-two, with the session resuming after a 10-minute stoppage.
The kangaroo interruption marked the second red flag of the final session of the Destination NSW Sydney Test Day, following a 10-minute stoppage to inspect the new surface at Turn 8 following the capital works.
It marks the second time within the space of a week that kangaroos have interrupted an event, with the early stages of the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour also slowed by a similar incident.
On that occasion, the Chris Mies collected a kangaroo on Conrod Straight in the opening minutes of the race, cutting the debut of the Ford Mustang GT3 short.
