17 of 24 seats formally confirmed for 2027 Supercars season
Top four teams in points will have same pairings for third straight year
Brodie Kostecki, Kai Allen, both Triple Eight drivers signed through 2029
The 2027 Repco Supercars Championship grid is nearing completion, with little change to 2026.
It's been an unusually quiet year on the driver market front, but General Motors' late-season driver swap at Erebus Motorsport and PremiAir Racing breathed new life into the make-up of the 2027 grid.
The bulk of the field is set, but there remains some intrigue to some teams, despite some extending their drivers to 2028 and beyond.
At the top of town, five teams — Penrite Racing, Red Bull Ampol Racing, Tickford Racing, Walkinshaw TWG Racing and Blanchard Racing Team — will carry the same line-ups for the third straight season.
What's left?

Erebus Motorsport CEO Barry Ryan recently told Supercars.com it was all but a "formality" that Jarrod Hughes would continue on in 2027, having replaced Cooper Murray. Jobe Stewart was announced on a "multi-year" deal, taking him to at least 2027.
Murray signed on with PremiAir Racing through 2028, and will be partnered by Jayden Ojeda, who gets a second season with the Gold Coast team in 2027. BRT also struck a new deal to lock down Aaron Cameron through to at least 2028.
GM homologation squad Team 18 has two drivers off-contract in Anton De Pasquale and David Reynolds. De Pasquale is expected to continue, while Reynolds remains without a deal for 2027. De Pasquale signed a "multi-year" deal from 2025 onwards, while Team 18 exercised Reynolds' option last October.
All told, Team 18 has maintained it is in no rush to lock down its line-up, and must wait at least one more year for the under-contract Matt Payne. Critically, Reynolds claimed a brilliant podium at the Gold Coast, and maintained he wants to keep driving.
Matt Stone has also publicly indicated Jack Le Brocq and Zach Bates are likely to remain with his eponymous team for 2027. Le Brocq reached the Finals, while Bates was a revelation at Bathurst, racing to the podium from pole.
Of incumbent drivers, that leaves rookie Rylan Gray (Dick Johnson Racing) and Macauley Jones (Brad Jones Racing), who haven't had their 2027 plans formally announced, but are also expected to return.
Two names that may emerge as key players are Lochie Dalton and Harri Jones, who shone in the enduros. Dalton, who is closing on the Super2 title and starred for Erebus in the enduros, said in Bathurst: "I don’t know if I have to raise both hands... I feel like I’ve got the runs on the board now to try and make that next step — but yeah, I don’t know. Hopefully something pops up."
Jones, who raced to fourth in Bathurst and just clinched a third Porsche Carrera Cup Australia title, said: "I'd love to go full time.. this year I've made a good step forward, and I'm interested to see if there's any opportunities to go full time. I'd definitely grab that with both hands."
