Metalmaster by Hare and Forbes take Erebus naming rights at The Bend
Livery based on chassis production to run on #9 Camaro
Jobe Stewart, Jarrod Hughes to share Camaro
Erebus Motorsport will run a workshop-inspired livery at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend for young gun pairing Jobe Stewart and Jarrod Hughes.
The latest addition to a rolling sponsorship model for Stewart in his rookie full-time season, the #9 Erebus Camaro will run with backing from Metalmaster by Hare and Forbes.
Erebus use Metalmaster products in its fabrication department, with the livery paying homage to the creation of a Gen3 Supercars chassis.
The bare bones of a chassis are placed on top of a Metalmaster welding table at the base of the livery, making for a striking black and silver look.
“We’re pleased to support Erebus Motorsport, but it goes beyond a sponsorship. Metalmaster products are being used by the team’s fabricators as they build and prepare the Supercars, which is exactly the kind of environment we want our equipment working in," said Hare and Forbes General Manager Rick Foster.
Hare and Forbes Marketing Manager Joseph Lenthall added: “The livery is a bit of fun. Rather than simply putting Metalmaster branding on the car, we wanted to show where our products actually belong,” Lenthall said.
“The welding table forms the base of the livery, with the chassis sitting on top of it, just like it would in a workshop.”
For the first time all year, Stewart races at a circuit where he has prior Supercars race experience, finishing seventh on debut in 2025 alongside Cooper Murray.
Stewart reunites with former Super2 junior and fellow Erebus junior Hughes in the #9 Camaro for the 2026 Ryco Enduro Cup.
On-track action at The Bend begins with Practice 1 on Friday morning at 11:25am local time/11:55am AEST.
