Broc Feeney back on deck with Triple Eight after extended break
Feeney claimed 14 wins, record 19 poles in 2025 Supercars season
23-year-old travelled to United States before returning this week
Broc Feeney is back on deck with Triple Eight Race Engineering as he aims to stay at the top of Supercars.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an extended holiday over the summer, headlined by a trip to the United States.
Feeney’s flying visit including watching SuperMotocross World Championship, taking in college football, and visiting Red Bull’s Athlete Performance Center.
It was a well earned break for Feeney, who after dominating the 2025 season, fell short in heartbreaking fashion at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
In the face of frustration after the final race, Feeney quipped he would lay low, but cut a determined figure at the Supercars Gala Awards, before rounding out the year with a media spot at Norwell Motorplex.
Such was the performance of Feeney, that teammate Will Brown, champion Chaz Mostert and Supercars legend Mark Winterbottom all backed the star to take 2026 by the horns.
Feeney's breather comes after Brown also opted for a quiet summer, as did Tickford Racing rival Cam Waters, who is set to welcome his first child in coming weeks.
In a Red Bull Ampol Racing social media, Feeney spoke of his excitement at returning to work.
“It's cool to be back in the workshop,” the 26-time Supercars race winner said.
“It's been a long break for me. Usually I'm back on the first day when everyone else comes in. I like to try and come in normally, but I took a bigger break this year.
"As you can see, I grew a beard. That's something different for me.
"Just got back from America a couple of days ago and into the workshop. Just can't wait to catch up with everyone.”
Feeney and Brown are now part of the Ford family, with Triple Eight shifting to the Blue Oval over the off-season.
Feeney himself will get a racing headstart with Ford, having been named in a GT3 Mustang for the upcoming Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.
The Queenslander also picked up his new Ford Ranger Raptor, which in itself was a shock to the system after years with General Motors.
"It was pretty cool to pick up the Raptor,” Feeney said.
"I must say, going to a Ford dealership was a little bit weird for the first time. I've got about 1500 kilometres on it now, but it's been awesome to run around."
Feeney will commence his 2026 Supercars campaign in Sydney on February 20-22.
