More dynamic, immersive experience confirmed for 2026 Supercars broadcast
The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship will look, sound and feel more thrilling than ever before.
Hear every radio call from every driver live. Watch races in crystalline 4K Ultra High Definition detail. Experience the cockpit from revolutionary in-car cameras.
A contemporary line-up of experts, commentators, and reporters will complement this new technology, bringing Supercars to the cutting-edge of global sports viewing.
This broadcast matches the generational shift on-track. The youngest grid in Supercars history, paired with emerging stars who have risen with them.
Our fans have demanded a more dynamic, immersive experience. This new era is for them. Their high-tech ride in the driver’s seat will be delivered with world-leading production partners NEP.
Viewers can watch every practice, qualifying and race live with no ad-breaks during racing and in 4K on Kayo SPORTS. Fans can also watch select races on 7 and 7plus.
New innovations include:
For the first time, fans can hear live radio from every driver through the Supercars app, using Riedel F1 technology. No delay, no filter, just raw emotion and split-second strategy.
Team radio turnaround into the broadcast will also match the F1 standard, letting drivers tell the story, as they race.
4K Ultra High Definition, produced in High Dynamic Range, meets the highest-standard global broadcast, bringing the mighty Supercars machines to life on screen.
Brand new, High Dynamic Range in-car cameras, providing increased coverage and angles from all cars. This will take viewers into the driver’s seat.
The new, bespoke custom graphics package doesn’t just look better, its functionality and detail will make every track session a greater experience for expert fans and new viewers.
The evolution in talent line-up brings modern expertise and connection to our new generation of superstars.
Garth Tander – six-time Bathurst winner and reigning champion – steps into the lead analyst role, with unrivalled currency and respect in the modern era.
James Courtney and Mark Winterbottom, will support Tander. They’ve all raced the Gen3 cars, battled and mentored the young guns and made their names for entertaining and telling it how it is. All three are Supercars Championship winners.
Tander will be joined by one of his fellow experts to form a three-person commentary team for selected races.
Play-by-play duties will be shared by Chad Neylon, Matt Naulty and Richard Craill - three passionate, experienced callers with a wealth of knowledge, emerging through the ranks with the new generation on the grid.
The move to a dedicated play-by-play commentator brings Supercars in line with other global motorsport series including F1.
They’ll form a new rotation, with a dedicated roster for each lead caller for the sprint rounds before a shared rotation at the endurance events.

Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton says: “Our play-by-play callers know the talent and personalities of our emerging stars more than anyone, on and off track. They’ve also spent many years proving they’re ready for the step up, earning the respect of our fans. Chad, Matt and Richard bring passion, energy and proven craft to let the racing and our drivers tell their stories.
“With so much energy and excitement our sport is evolving. We had so much support and interest through our new Finals format, the arrival of the Supra to take on the Mustangs and Camaros and so many hungry new stars behind the wheel. This all helps make us the closest, most exciting racing category on the planet.
“That’s all backed up by record growth in attendance, viewership and engagement. These changes will take our great sport even further.”
After decades behind the microphone, Neil Crompton was offered a reduced role in the commentary team for 2026 and beyond, but politely declined.
Five-time series champion and six-time Bathurst winner Mark Skaife will continue his involvement with Fox Sports.
“Neil and Mark have been phenomenal for Supercars and their contributions are rightfully honoured in our Hall of Fame,” Warburton says.
Mark Larkham continues with the team, delivering the unique blend of technical storytelling and unmatched passion, that’s iconically Larko.
With a new full-time role, Molly Taylor joins Riana Crehan in pit lane.
Molly adds her expertise as the youngest Australian Rally Championship winner and 2025 FIM Extreme H World Champion. Riana brings more than a decade of respect, experience and empathy to take us inside the drama of every session.
With them, the legendary Craig Lowndes adds increased presence into Supercars coverage, while continuing his passion for support categories and the up-and-coming stars.
Jess Yates continues as key host for Kayo SPORTS and Foxtel, with expertise crafted for more than a decade.
Supercars Head of Broadcast Nathan Prendergast says: “With the new technology and our revamped line-up, this is the greatest evolution of Supercars media since the in-house department was formed in 2005.
"It will take our fans closer and further inside the action than ever before, whilst staying true to the hardcore motorsport foundations of the coverage. With the most-anticipated Supercars season in many years it’s perfect timing for change.”
The drama of the Repco Finals Series, Chaz Mostert’s maiden Championship and behind the scenes drama of Supercars: Road to Glory ignites new rivalries for 2026.
