AirTouch 500 at The Bend delivers record crowd
The Bend hosted first enduro after hosting sprints since 2018
2025 event reports record weekend crowd of 47,034
The AirTouch 500 at The Bend is off to a flying start, with the first Supercars enduro delivering a record crowd for the South Australian venue.
The event has reported a weekend crowd of 47,034, with camping and Park & View both sold out.
On Sunday, Brodie Kostecki/Todd Hazelwood led an all-Ford podium, with Cam Waters/Mark Winterbottom and Matt Payne/Garth Tander second and third respectively.
The Repco Supercars Championship was supported by the FIA Kumho TCR World Tour, as well as Porsche Carrera Cup, Trans Am, Touring Car Masters and Aussie Racing Cars.
More than 3000 fans turned The Bend into a sold-out trackside village, with live music, karting, stunt shows, autograph sessions, POWRi Speedway action and family activations keeping fans engaged.
“The Bend has quickly established itself as one of Australia’s premier motorsport venues, and this weekend’s AirTouch 500 takes it to the next level with a world-first program,” The Hon. Zoe Bettison MP, South Australian Minister for Tourism, said.
"Hosting international categories alongside Australia’s Supercars reinforces our State’s reputation for staging globally significant events while driving real tourism and economic benefits into our regions."
The AirTouch 500 at The Bend was the opening round of the Ryco Enduro Cup, setting the scene for a thrilling Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 9-12.
Supercars will return to South Australia for the season finale, the bp Adelaide Grand Final, on November 27-30.
