Broc Feeney claims brilliant pole for Race 26 in thrilling Shootout
Feeney/Jamie Whincup to share front row with Cameron Hill/Cameron McLeod
Sunday's 500km race to start at 1:45pm local/2:15pm AEST
Broc Feeney and Jamie Whincup's Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaro will start from pole position in tomorrow's AirTouch 500 at The Bend following a dramatic Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout.
Feeney claimed his 14th pole of the season, and joined Peter Brock, Allan Moffat, Dick Johnson, and Scott McLaughlin as the only drivers to claim five pole positions in a row in the ATCC/Supercars Championship.
The #88 will be joined on the front row by the #4 Matt Stone Racing Camaro of Cameron Hill and Cameron McLeod, with Hill playing a starring role in the Shootout.
Top Ford honours went to the Brodie Kostecki/Todd Hazelwood entry from Dick Johnson Racing in third, with Tickford duo Cam Waters and Mark Winterbottom to line up alongside on the second row.
Chaz Mostert initially qualified eighth, however he was slapped with a two-place grid penalty for impeding Richie Stanaway in Boost Mobile Qualifying, meaning he will now start from 10th on the grid.
The big names to watch further in the pack will be the #1 Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaro of reigning Sandown 500 winners Will Brown and Scott Pye, who will have plenty of work to do from 16th on the grid.
The opening race of the Ryco Enduro Cup will begin at at 1:45pm local time/2:15pm AEST, and will run over 102 laps of The Bend Motorsport Park.
