Tickford Autosport's dominant weekend at Round 2 of the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series has seen the four-car squad vault to the lead of the teams' championship.
Having entered the weekend fourth in the teams' standings after solid if unspectacular start to the season in Sydney, a tearaway performance from all four of their cars in Tasmania saw Tickford claim 63 points more than the next-best team.
Although a team's highest-placed car in round points contributes to the teams' championship in Super2, Tickford's podium lockout from Rylan Gray, Reuben Goodall, and Nash Morris still proved a sizeable advantage in the teams' points.
It was a historic weekend for Tickford's driver development arm, who became the first team in Super2 Series history to lockout a round podium.
Tickford lead the five-car Eggleston Motorsport squad by 30 points heading into the third round of the development series in July, with twice-defending teams' champions unable to halt the dominance of Tickford.
Whilst Tickford were the big winners in Tasmania, Ryan McLeod Racing Cars were the big loser, dropping three places as Cameron McLeod struggled for outright speed on his first ever visit to Symmons Plains.
Who scored points in Tasmania?
Claiming 279 of a possible 300 points in Tasmania, Rylan Gray had a stunning weekend in Tasmania, and comfortably claimed both round honours and the series lead.
With the next two spots for the round also filled by Tickford Mustangs, Eggleston Motorsport rookie Cody Burcher claimed fourth for the round with a clean weekend and 216 points to his name.
Brad Vaughan's speedy start to life at Brad Jones Racing continued with another strong haul of 201 points and two more strong recovery drives, whilst Jackson Walls secured 180 points from a tricky weekend for Triple Eight.
Mason Kelly's first podium finish saw Kelly Racing claim the fifth-most points of anyone in Tasmania with 177 points, whilst Bailey Sweeny added 150 points to Blanchard Racing Team's account.
It was another quiet weekend for Walkinshaw Andretti United, with Campbell Logan scoring 144 points across the weekend, whilst Cameron McLeod's Saturday penalty for hitting Lochie Dalton at the hairpin has proven costly for Ryan McLeod Racing Cars, restricting him to only 123 points.
Retirements hampered the efforts of Image Racing, Erebus Motorsport, and Anderson Motorsport, who had already endured difficult weekends.
Finishes of 12th for Jobe Stewart (Erebus) and 16th for Ayrton Hodson (Anderson) in Race 3 saw both teams claim just 69 and 57 points, whilst 10th for Jarrod Hughes (Image) on Sunday saw Terry Wyhoon's outfit claim 78 points.
