Fans to get front row seat to Dr Ryan Story, Roland Dane insights
Supercars heavyweight bosses to headline series of in-depth talks
Story is DJR Executive Chairman, Dane is returning with PremiAir
Supercars fans can get a front row seat to insights of Dr Ryan Story and Roland Dane in a series of in-depth talks.
Shell V-Power Racing Team Executive Chairman Story and incoming PremiAir Team Principal Dane will both feature in events at the State Library of Queensland.
Story will take part in an in-depth conversation about Queensland’s proud motoring legacy and the future of racing innovation on Sunday December 7.
Fans can sit in as Story reflects on lessons from the sport’s golden years, the evolving role of technology and teamwork, and what’s next for Australia’s most iconic racing brand.
Story was a pivotal figure in Dick Johnson Racing's return to form, with Scott McLaughlin, DJR and Team Penske ushering in a remarkable era of domination between 2017 and 2020.
On Friday February 6, Dane will be part of a panel of industry, academic and government voices — including Greg McGarvie (Ace Electric Vehicles), and Associate Professor Jiwon Kim (University of Queensland) — as they discuss how technology, infrastructure, and culture are reshaping how Queenslanders drive.

Dane, who led Triple Eight Race Engineering to unprecedented success in Supercars between 2003 and 2021, will return to the paddock with PremiAir Racing in 2026.
"It’s a great opportunity to be grilled in front of a live audience by my mate Paul Gover. PG will take great delight in doing so of course, it’s worth coming along for that alone,” Story said.
"He’s going to ask me all sorts of questions that would otherwise be off the record, so it will be a lot of fun!
"PG is a titan of motorsport and automotive journalism, so it’s a terrific chance to get to quiz him too as everyone who comes along can participate in a Q and A.
"We’ve jokingly referred to this thing as the pilot episode for our new podcast PG and the Doc!
"We will talk all things DJR and my journey in motorsport, the state of Supercars and the future direction of Queensland’s, indeed Australia’s, most iconic motor racing team. Plenty of great yarns and plenty of laughs too.
"The event is part of the State Library of Queensland Driven Exhibition program. I hope to see plenty of Supercars and DJR supporters there.”
