Brodie Kostecki announces hometown speedway comeback
DJR star to race at Perth Motorplex before Supercars season starts
Kostecki to make first competitive speedway starts since 2023
Brodie Kostecki will return to racing on dirt ahead of his 2026 Supercars campaign.
The 2023 Supercars champion took to social media on Wednesday to confirm a multi-day swing at the Perth Motorplex.
Kostecki will enter a car with backing from his own Lucky Dogs podcast, among other partners including Shell V-Power, the naming rights partner of his Supercars team.
The 2024 Bathurst 1000 winner will be on track in Perth on February 6, followed by races on February 11, and February 13-14.
He returns to the dirt on March 14 and March 28, following Round 2 at the Australian Grand Prix.
Kostecki achieved a lifelong dream of racing a sprintcar back in 2022 at Toowoomba Speedway, contesting a round of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship.
He returned to Toowoomba in 2023 ahead of his historic Supercars championship run, and has been a feature of speedways since, albeit as a team member and spectator.
It comes as 11 of Kostecki’s rivals tackle the Meguair’s Bathurst 12 Hour on February 13-15, ahead of Round 1 of the new Supercars season on February 20-22.
