Thrilling 2025 Bathurst 1000 smashes all-time streaming records
7plus recorded biggest streaming day in 2025 outside AFL Grand Final
Biggest streaming on Kayo Sports ever for Supercars
The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 has delivered a blockbuster result across every platform, with preliminary data confirming the biggest total audience since at least 2017 and the highest streaming numbers in Supercars history.
The near seven-hour epic was won by Matt Payne and Garth Tander, who delivered Ford's first Great Race victory since 2019.
A crowd of 198,203 attendees attended the event, marking the eighth-largest crowd in event history and the biggest at Mount Panorama since 2023.
The epic race on Sunday attracted a major streaming and digital audience, with Supercars breaking new ground.
On Seven, the event saw:
7plus recorded its biggest streaming day this year outside of the AFL Grand Final
Over 205 million minutes streamed on 7plus
Total average audience (television and 7plus) was up 35% year-on-year on uncorrected times
Streaming audience doubled year on year
Fox Sports has provided an early reach estimate of 1.2 million viewers across both broadcast and streaming platforms, with final numbers expected to grow further once full data is available, and the biggest streaming on KAYO ever for Supercars. The telecast averaged 459,000 people across the race on Foxtel platforms.
Supercars' digital platforms also surged more than 40%:
Supercars.com traffic up 40% YoY, with over 5.3 million page views across the weekend
Sunday alone delivered 2 million page views and over 500,000 users
Social media exploded, with 35 million views across Facebook and Instagram from Thursday to Sunday — and TikTok and YouTube data still to come, expected to add another 10–20 million views
With VOZ reach figures due at midday (which will need to be corrected tomorrow due to race over run) and additional data still populating, the final numbers are expected to climb even higher.
All eyes now turn to the inaugural Repco Supercars Finals Series, which begins at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 from 24–26 October. Tickets available through Supercars.com.
Note: Actual numbers will be available tomorrow given the time change with the race.
