Four Supercars operations are changing manufacturers in 2026
Triple Eight, SCT Motorsport shifting from Chevrolet to Ford
WAU, BJR joining Toyota from Ford, Chevrolet respectively
News of the Triple Eight Race Engineering/SCT Motorsport marriage marks the latest change to the make-up of the the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship grid.
It takes the Ford cohort to 11 cars, against eight Chevrolets and five Toyotas. It's a big shift from 2025, which is currently being contested by 14 Chevrolets and 10 Fords. Ford loses two cars, but gains three. Chevrolet, meanwhile, loses six.
BJR joins homologation team Walkinshaw Andretti United in running GR Supras. WAU defects from Ford, while Ford gains Triple Eight and the SCT entry.
Triple Eight, Tickford Racing, Dick Johnson Racing, Grove Racing and Blanchard Racing Team fly the flag for the Blue Oval while General Motors is represented by new homologation team Team 18, Erebus Motorsport, Matt Stone Racing, and PremiAir Racing.
The SCT seat is also one of seven vacancies on the 2026 grid, along with singles at Erebus and BRT, with MSR and PremiAir yet to confirm their line-ups.
