Triple Eight expands to three cars with SCT Motorsport deal
Triple Eight last ran three full-time Supercars entries in 2018
SCT has operated out of Brad Jones Racing since 2020
Triple Eight Race Engineering will expand to three full Supercar entries in 2026, with SCT Motorsport to run a Ford Mustang out of the team next season.
Announced Friday, SCT Motorsport will take its operations from Brad Jones Racing to Triple Eight, with the former initially set to run a Toyota GR Supra next year.
Come 2026, and SCT colours will run on a Ford in 2026, alongside Triple Eight's Red Bull Ampol Mustangs driven by current points leader Broc Feeney and 2024 champion Will Brown. The 2026 grid will be made up of 11 Fords, eight Chevrolets and five Toyotas.
The two-year deal will see Triple Eight build, manage and race an SCT Motorsport entry for the 2026 and 2027 Supercars seasons.
SCT Logistics has been involved in Supercars since 2013, first as a sponsor of the Walkinshaw-run Supercheap Auto Holden Commodore, before it purchased a Racing Entitlement Contract (REC) in 2020.

SCT entered in 2020 with Jack Smith, son of SCT founder Pete, behind the wheel. Jaxon Evans took the wheel of the car in 2024, with Evans and SCT recently parting ways ahead of 2026.
The Evans news opened the door to questions over SCT's future in Supercars, with the program initially announced to roll into BJR's shift to Toyota from 2026. Ironically, Andrew Jones, nephew of Brad, heads up SCT's motorsport program.
Further detail around SCT Motorsport’s plans for 2026, including driver line-up, will be announced in due course.
"I’m thrilled to have SCT Motorsport partner with us in 2026 as we expand back to a three car operation,” Triple Eight Managing Director Jamie Whincup said.
"Like us, they’ve been involved in the sport for more than 20 years on a quest to continually strive for excellence.
"Our team has specialised in providing a motorsport service to many partners past and present and we look forward to doing the same for SCT Motorsport.
"I’m already impressed with SCT Motorsport’s commitment to achieve best practice and their willingness to commit to whatever is required to run at the front of the Supercars Championship.
"I personally can’t wait to see where we can take this new and exciting partnership.”

Smith said: “SCT Logistics is a market leading, national multi-modal transport and logistics company, it is important to us that our Supercars program is reflective of that also.
“I feel that this exciting announcement for SCT Motorsport to partner with Triple Eight Rac eEngineering will enable us to deliver on aligning both of our businesses.”
Andrew Jones added: “Partnering with Triple Eight provides an amazing opportunity for SCT Motorsport to achieve the success that we set at the beginning of the journey in Supercars and continue the growth of the program that has been built over the past five years.
"Our ultimate aim is to win races, Bathurst and a championship, this strategic partnership puts us in a terrific position to make that happen.
"My dealings with everyone so far at Triple Eight through the process to bring this partnership to reality have been exceptional and it has given us an insight as to why they have been so successful for such a long period of time.
"We look forward to contributing to that success into the future as an integral part of the team.”
