Erebus Motorsport unveil Indigenous liveries for betr Darwin Triple Crown
Artist Jedess Hudson created twin designs for Jack Le Brocq, Cooper Murray
On-track action at Hidden Valley begins Friday
Erebus Motorsport are the latest team to reveal their liveries for Indigenous Round at the betr Darwin Triple Crown this weekend.
Two different artworks by Ewamian and Western Yalanji artist Jedess Hudson have formed the inspiration for the liveries of Jack Le Brocq's Tyrepower-backed Camaro, and Cooper Murray's entry, which will sport Erebus backing this weekend.
Hudson worked with the team for their 2024 Indigenous liveries, and has also worked with Brad Jones Racing and Tickford Racing in 2022 and 2023.
The artwork used for Le Brocq's #9 Camaro is entitled, "Power Through Connection," and reflects the strength found in community and shared among people.
“This is more than a race car — it’s a story on wheels,” Hudson said.
“It reminds us that when we’re connected to our people, our stories, and our Country, we are powerful beyond measure.”
Le Brocq, himself a race winner in Darwin in 2023, says that the design aligns with the values of both Tyrepower and Erebus Motorsport.
“It’s a real honour to carry Tyrepower’s colours this weekend," said Le Brocq.
"Their message of ‘Power Through Connection’ really speaks to what we do — in racing, nothing works without trust and connection. Jedess has captured that perfectly. It’s meaningful, and I’m proud to represent it.”
Murray's #99 Camaro features a design named, "Fuelled by Fire," with fire symbolising energy, strength, and transformation.
The black base also features pink hues in a nod to Erebus Motorsport owner Betty Klimenko.
“This livery represents everything that fuels us — energy, transformation, and the spark that keeps you pushing forward,” said Murray.
“Jedess’s artwork brings meaning to the car, and I’m proud to carry that story on track.”
Le Brocq is currently 15th in the Repco Supercars Championship standings, whilst Murray sits 23rd following a difficult start to his rookie campaign.
On-track action at the betr Darwin Triple Crown begins on Friday. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
