Record breaking broadcast numbers for 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000
2025 race delivered combined reach of more than 5.5 million Australians
Supercars' social and digital reach grew by more than 40%
The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 race delivered a television and streaming spectacle like no other, with a combined reach of more than 5.5 million Australians, making it the biggest Bathurst audience since 2016 and the most streamed Supercars race in history.
The total reach across Seven (VOZ) of 4.315 million, combined with the 1.2 million watching Fox Sports and KAYO, saw the Great Race reach 5.515 million viewers, in addition to record social and digital reach growing by more than 40 per cent.
Across the live race broadcast, the total television audience averaged more than two million viewers nationally (over 7 hours of the race) — with 1.544 million on Seven Network and a further 459,000 on Foxtel Group.
Streaming figures shattered all previous records, with Seven’s coverage on 7plus averaging 211,000 — more than double last year’s audience. 7plus recorded its biggest day outside of an Olympics or AFL Grand Final. Foxtel platforms also achieved their highest-ever Supercars streaming day on Kayo Sports.
Digital platforms also delivered enormous growth, surging more than 40 per cent year-on-year. Supercars.com recorded over 5.3 million page views across the weekend, including two million on Sunday alone and more than 500,000 users.
Social media exploded, with more than 35 million views across Facebook and Instagram from Thursday to Sunday — with TikTok and YouTube data still to come, expected to add another 10–20 million views.
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said: “This is a phenomenal result and a clear sign of the incredible power and passion behind Bathurst.
“Year after year, the Great Race captures the nation, and this year’s record-breaking figures are proof that Supercars continues to be one of the biggest sporting moments on the Australian calendar.
“To deliver the biggest Bathurst audience since 2016, and the largest streaming and digital audience in our history, is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of. It’s a credit to our broadcast partners, our teams and drivers, and to our fans who make this event so special.”
The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 broadcast success goes along with this year’s attendance figure of 198,203 and sets the stage for a blockbuster conclusion to the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship, which rolls into Surfers Paradise next week with the first-ever Finals event for Supercars, the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
