Adelaide draws second biggest Supercars attendance ever
2025 bp Adelaide Grand Final attracts 285,700 fans
2025 event just behind record 2008 crowd of 291,400
The 2025 edition of the bp Adelaide Grand Final has attracted 285,700 fans, the biggest for an Adelaide Supercars event in a decade.
This year’s event served as the final round of the Repco Supercars Finals Series, with Walkinshaw Andretti United star Chaz Mostert emerging as champion.
Off-track, Lenny Kravitz and AC/DC lit up the Saturday and Sunday nights respectively, while there was speedway and supercross, as well as a Red Bull Racing Formula 1 showcase.
The 2025 event attracted nearly 30,000 more fans than last year’s event.
Sunday’s crowd was also estimated at 102,000 attendees, which was more than both the AFL and NRL Grand Finals this year.
The crowd of 285,700 is the second largest in the history of the Supercars Hall of Fame inducted event, behind the record 291,400 attendance from 2008.
It’s also the biggest attendance since 2015, which brought in 285,000 fans.
The Adelaide 500 opened Supercars seasons between 1999 and 2020, and has served as the season finale since 2022. The 2022 event was attended by 258,200 fans, with 260,700 attending in 2023 and 259,000 in 2024.
Fans also watched in droves on television, with the Seven Network announcing a national reach of 2.37 million, national audience 335,700, and 31% year-on-year increase.
