2025 Bathurst 1000 broadcast nominated for national award
Seven's Bathurst coverage nominated as finalist in 2025 ASC Media Awards
2025 Bathurst coverage set new benchmarks on Seven, Foxtel
A blockbuster Repco Bathurst 1000 has received recognition by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).
This year's Bathurst coverage on the Seven Network has been nominated as a finalist at this year's ASC Media Awards.
The race was won by Matt Payne, Garth Tander, Penrite Racing and Ford, with high drama and inclement weather conditions pushing the finish into primetime.
The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 race delivered a combined reach of more than 5.5 million Australians, making it the biggest Bathurst audience since 2016 and the most streamed Supercars race in history.
The total reach across Seven (VOZ) of 4.315 million, combined with the 1.2 million watching Fox Sports and KAYO Sports, saw the Great Race reach 5.515 million viewers, in addition to record social and digital reach growing by more than 40%.
Across the live race broadcast, the total television audience averaged more than two million viewers nationally (over seven hours of the race) — with 1.544 million on Seven Network and a further 459,000 on Foxtel Group.
Streaming figures shattered all previous records, with Seven’s coverage on 7plus averaging 211,000 — more than double last year’s audience. 7plus recorded its biggest day outside of an Olympics or AFL Grand Final. Foxtel platforms also achieved their highest-ever Supercars streaming day on KAYO Sports.
The ASC revealed Thursday that this year's broadcast has been nominated as a finalist in the 'Best coverage of a sporting event' category.
The Bathurst coverage is up against the Nine Network's NRLW and NRL Grand Final coverage, SBS' Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes coverage, and BigVoice Media Group/SBS' Australian Surf Life Saving Championships broadcast.
Finalists will be invited to awards event at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 23 February 2026. See all categories and nominees here.
Tickets have gone on sale for the majority of 2026 Repco Supercars Championship events, with next year's Repco Bathurst 1000 scheduled for October 8-11.
