New drivers and new liveries in 2022 for Triple Eight

Triple Eight Race Engineering has uncovered the new liveries for its two new Dunlop Super2 Series drivers.

Newcomers Declan Fraser and Cameron Hill will lead the team’s 2022 development series campaign.

It comes after Triple Eight soared to the 2021 title with main game recruit Broc Feeney.

Hill will make his Super2 debut in 2021, but brings with him the Porsche Carrera Cup title.

The 25-year-old won the title with six wins and 11 podiums from 13 starts.

Hill’s #111 Commodore will carry major backing from Supaglass Industries.

Fraser, meanwhile, makes the leap from MW Motorsport and will carry major backing from OZ Property Investment Centre.

Triple Eight’s Super2 squad will be led by Team Manager Matt Cook; Simon Hodge will engineer the #111, with Matt Saunders to engineer the #777.

The new-look Triple Eight Super2 squad will hit Queensland Raceway this week for testing.

"It was a pretty surreal moment walking into the Triple Eight workshop for the first time and seeing your name and number on the side of the car,” Fraser said.

"The look of the car is a lot different to what I’ve raced in the past but seeing it all blue and shiny is really cool.

"It’s especially great to have Oz Property on the side of the car for the year, as well as the return of Red Hot Couriers and MSIA.

"So far, I’ve gelled really well with the team… every little one-percenter has been covered before we’ve even got to the track."

Hill added: "It was amazing to finally see my car at the Triple Eight workshop for the first time.

"I’ve never been to the workshop before, and to see the facilities they have here was extremely impressive.

"It’s been really cool to meet all the guys and girls here at the team as well.

"They have all been so welcoming and everyone seems to be switched on when it comes to our racing program.

"I can take a lot of confidence into the first round knowing they’re all on top of it.”

The new Super2 season will commence at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.
