Fraser’s 1:19.638s proved 0.12s quicker than Zak Best, who is the Queenslander’s closest title rival.
Best is 75 points behind Fraser, with Matt Payne 132 points down in third.
Payne was only good enough for sixth in the afternoon session.
With a season-most four poles, Fraser is the ARMOR ALL Pole Champion for the Super2 category.
The 22-year-old began Friday one behind Payne, who took three of the first poles in 2022.
Dual Friday poles took Fraser past Payne, who will rise to the main game next season.
"The car was absolutely on rails," Fraser said.
"Didn't really want to change much from that first session.
"The team did an awesome job making sure I was mentally ready... so stoked.
"Credit to everyone at Triple Eight, they've been amazing all year."
Aaron Seton led early on with a 1:20.392s, with Cameron Hill 0.06s down in second.
