An increase in funding from sponsor Urban Energy has enabled Kristian Lindbom to step back in to Evans Motorsport Group's Ozstaff Racing Falcon at Bathurst this weekend.
The V8 Supercars young gun had been one of the standouts through the opening rounds of the series but a funding shortfall forced him to the sidelines for the Winton round.
Lindbom had been planning to run a Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport owned Commodore at Mount Panorama but the last minute increase in sponsor funding has allowed Lindbom to resume his tenure in the ex-Ford Performance Racing Falcon.
"I'm thankful to the team and to Urban Energy who have stepped in to help me make the grid at Bathurst," said Lindbom.
"We've all been working hard at sourcing the extra funding to get to these last two rounds and I'm overjoyed that we've been able to get a deal done.
"We're now full steam ahead, the car is ready and I can't wait to jump back into the Ozstaff Falcon on Thursday for practice.
"I'm really hoping to take out the Rookie of the Year award and being back in a front running car definitely gives me the best shot at getting that done," he said.
"We're really happy we've been able to do a deal to get Kristian back into the Ozstaff Falcon," said team boss Josh Evans.
"We've had great support from our sponsor group. Ozstaff, Urban Energy and Earthex have been with us from the start and we've been working hard to form some new partnerships through the season.
"Urban Energy have actually increased their level of support to enable us to get Kristian back in the car and for that we're all very thankful.
"We've also been lucky enough to add some support from Soniq, Castrol, Kerrick and Humes over the last couple of months.
"It was a worst case scenario that Kristian missed out at Winton but we're rapt that he'll be back in the seat here at Bathurst."
Lindbom had run as high as third in the Dunlop Series standings before missing the Winton round last month.
