V8 Supercars Dunlop Series up-and-comerJosh Kean has joinedBrad Jones Racing for the 2015 season.
Kean will line up alongside Andrew Jones and Macauley Jones, replacing Chris Pither in the three-car outfit and steering one of the team'sVF Commodores for Team Kean Racing (TKR).
The 21-year old racerfirst stepped into the development V8 Supercars Dunlop Series in 2013, competing in selected rounds late thatyear before making his full-time entry under his own team banner TKR in 2014.
"For my second full year in the development series it's great to be working with a team such as Brad Jones Racing," Kean said.
"Having Andrew, Macauley and the rest of the team to learn from is really exciting. This team being so established means I am able ask questions knowing I'll get answer based on experience and keep progressing forward.
"After races, being able to have the fresh data overlay and talk about it in detail is something I'm really looking forward to. This is a big step for us."
Functioning in his own family team environment for previous years, moving to another family race team in BJR is a familar feeling.
"I've got to give the team credit for their welcoming attitude towards us, I was so impressed," Kean said.
"Being from a family team environment and stepping into another where they treat you like that is brilliant. The workshop has so much in terms of facilities and is very organized, it is a great thing to be around."
Team owner Brad Jones welcomed Kean to the fold.
"I think Josh is an exciting addition to the race team, he's young, focused and will fit into the team really well," Jones said.
"This is the obvious step for him moving forward in the series and now he will have a couple of team mates to bounce ideas off, he will learn a lot. Josh has a great attitude and wants to be successful so we will do our best to help them with that."
Brad Jones Racing isbusy preparing the three car assault for their first outing at the Clipsal 500 at the end of this month.
Kean is eager to get the season underway, "I'm excited for the year ahead, I'm ready to knuckle down and get into it. This is a top level team and I know we could go all the way. That's what I want."
The Dunlop Series will race at the Clipsal 500, with a range of great support categories, from February 26-March 1.
