Jamie Whincup to make call on co-driving future after 2025 enduros
Supercars Hall of Famer to contest fourth campaign with Broc Feeney

Jamie Whincup says he will wait until after the year’s longest races to make a call on whether he will go around again in 2025.
The Supercars Hall of Famer will return for a fourth enduro campaign alongside current championship leader Broc Feeney later this season.
Whincup, 42, retired from full-time Supercars racing at the end of 2021, and has since partnered Feeney in the #88 Triple Eight entry.
In three campaigns, Feeney/Whincup won the 2023 Sandown 500, and finished second in last year's 2024 Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.
The 125-time Supercars race winner, currently Triple Eight boss and co-owner, has operated on a year-by-year basis when it comes to confirming his enduro plans.
As he stated in the off-season, Whincup insisted he will race if he is the right man for the job, but would “happily” stand aside if he felt someone else could do a better job.

“I’ve got to make a call after the enduros, so we’ve got plenty of lead time and planning,” Whincup said in Perth.
“It’s year-on-year for me. As soon as somebody better comes along, I’ll happily step aside.”
It follows the similar comments made by Whincup in the off-season, when he suggested he could still perform at a full-time level, yet simply can’t dedicate the time to driving.
Whincup dominated the sport for over a decade, and after hanging up the helmet full-time, has transitioned into life as team boss and father. The performance level has still been there, Whincup the second fastest co-driver on average at Sandown last year, and fourth fastest at Mount Panorama.
Among co-drivers, Whincup will likely have the fewest race laps under his belt before the first Enduro Cup event at The Bend in September.
The four-time Bathurst winner has been getting behind the wheel at team ride days, and will get a full pre-enduro test day with the whole field at Queensland Raceway on August 12.
“It’s ride days for me at this stage, and a bit of simulation stuff. So, limited racing for me before the enduros,” Whincup added.
The 2025 betr Darwin Triple Crown will run June 20-22 at Hidden Valley Raceway and will again be celebrated as Supercars Indigenous Round.
Foxtel, Kayo, 7plus and the Seven Network will provide live broadcast for the 2025 betr Darwin Triple Crown. Tickets are available through darwinsupercars.com.au or the Supercars website.
