It’s shaping up to be the ultimate finale – teammates pitted against one another, Holden versus Ford, the experienced victor Triple Eight against threatening breakthrough Ford Performance Racing.

As it unfolds, experience it in the best way possible – in the flesh at Sydney Olympic Park.

Tickets are still available for the Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services 500. And all pre-purchased tickets give you a free pass to ride on public transport to and from the event each day, making getting there cheaper and easier.

The weather looks great, there’s plenty to do off-track and of course you have the opportunity to see your heroes and their machines in person.

See the streets you drive on day-to-day transform into a concrete battlefield as 28 V8 Supercars roar through the Olympic Park complex.

Similarly, the Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services event page shows start times for each session each day so you can time your trip in accordingly.

Public Transport

For free public transport to and from the event, all you will need to do is show your pre-purchased Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services ticket (click here for terms and conditions).

This is eligible for City Rail trains, the Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus Services, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries services.

The railway station at Sydney Olympic Park/Homebush Bay is called Olympic Park Station and is only 400m from the stadium. Several bus stops are also located within close proximity.

Regular train services will depart – click here for more information about direct lines.

Alternatively, to plan your route online, visit the Transport NSW page.

Parking

While it is advised fans take advantage of the free public transport offer, there is parking at a premium.

The Sydney Olympic Park car parks outside of the precinct are under the control of Sydney Olympic Park Authority and are only available on a pre-book basis.

P5 Car Park is located to the north of Gate Two off Hill Road with some bays available.

Accessible parking is available in carparks P3 and P4. A shuttle service will operate to and from these car parks to the entry point at Gate Three, which is accessible for people with a disability.

For more information see the Sydney Olympic Park website.

Once you Arrive

Temperatures in the 20s and a sunny forecast mean great conditions for spectators are expected over the three days.

There is plenty of shade at the track and great views, whether you are in General Admission or perched in a grandstand.

Some of the recommended areas for best views in GA are the grassed area near the 11-12-13 sequence, directly over the overpass from Gate One; the Sydney Precinct Park area near turns nine and 10 over the Turn Nine Bridge from Gate Six; and on both the inside and outside of turn eight, where the straight begins near ANZ Stadium.

A paddock pass is an investment well worth it, giving you access to the in-door paddock. See the teams work on and prepare the cars, get up-close to the transporters and keep your eyes peeled and a pen handy – you never know who you may spot for a quick autograph!

On Friday evening the paddock will play host to Friday Night Live, to be broadcast nationally, and involving all your pit lane favourites. Audience members may be on TV, and the first 500 fans will receive a free V8 Supercars stubby cooler.

Fun for the Whole Family

One of the great parts of the Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services 500 is the range of activities to keep you and your family busy while not consumed by the racing.

A number of support categories, including the V8 Supercars second tier Dunlop Series, will be on track battling for Championship victories.

While off-track you can check out the Coopers Bar, Triple M Chill Zone, the Family Zone and the Disney-Pixar Fun Zone for kids.

From Merchandise Alley; autograph sessions including the True Colour Track Walk, where you can get up close to the cars and drivers; and a range of additional activities given it is the grand finale.
