The championship challengers have awoken to Triple Eight Race Engineering's strengths and have started throwing some punches back.

Pit stop improvement

Two of the most common sayings in motorsport somewhat contradict themselves. The first, "car speed trumps strategy," implies that the faster your car, the more likely you are to win compared to someone who executes a perfect race strategy.

The second, "it's easier to find two seconds in the pits than it is making your car 0.1 second per lap quicker," underscores the importance of being faultless in the pits.
