Erebus to make Starlight child's dream come true

Erebus Motorsport is offering the experience of a lifetime to Starlight child Temeley Crawford, who will receive the chance to "Be Betty For The Day" at this Sunday's Perth 400 at Barbagallo Raceway.

In an exciting new partnership with the Starlight Children's Foundation, 15-year old Temeley will have the opportunity to sit in team owner Betty Klimenko's private seat in the Erebus Motorsport garage during Sunday's 83-lap race at the Perth 400.

Temeley and her family will also receive a grid walk prior to the race and be able to mingle with the Erebus Motorsport drivers and team throughout the afternoon's action.

Additionally, the Starlight Children's Foundation logo will feature on the rear quarter of Will Davison's #9 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.

"Temeley is very excited and can't wait for Sunday," her mother Chrissy said.

"She's an adrenalin junkie and loves fast cars. She said she would feel like the real deal with the headset on during the race and getting to be in the pits where it all happens is so exciting."

With Betty unable to attend the Perth 400 meeting on doctor's orders as she undergoes minor surgery, she said it was fantastic that a child less fortunate than most would be able to enjoy a unique racing experience.

"It's a shame I can't be there in Perth this weekend but it makes me so happy to know that Temeley will be sitting in my seat wearing my headset for the race on Sunday," said Betty.

"We have a great team at Erebus that will make sure Temeley and her family enjoy an experience they will never forget.

"I'll be watching closely on television and hopefully there are smiles all round in our garage throughout the weekend."

Since 1988, the Starlight Children's Foundation has brightened the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families throughout Australia.

"The sad reality is that every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia," said State Partnerships Manager Jayne Graham.

"Unfortunately thousands of these children and young people are then faced with a diagnosis that can change their life and the lives of their family forever, so opportunities like this, provided by Erebus and Betty, are just priceless.

"To 'Be Betty For The Day' will put a massive smile on Temeley's face and provide a memorable experience for her to reflect on during some of the tougher times of her childhood."
