FORMER Australian GT Championship category co-owner andmanager Rachael Wagg is expanding her new ‘Marque Management’ business into the2013 Dunlop Series.
Wagg is joining forces with Eggleston Motorsport for thedevelopment series and has secured a Triple Eight-built VE II Commodore fromTekno Autosports.
The car will arrive at Eggleston Motorsport’sheadquarters in Melbourne this week.
It will join Eggleston’s existing ex-HSV Dealer Team,round-winning VE Commodore that Ben Eggleston has fielded in the past forCameron McConville in a newly-formed two car team.
The joint team already has held preliminary discussionswith drivers and will test both cars next week at Winton. A range of drivers will turn laps before a final decisionon the team’s line-up for the opening round in Adelaide is made.
“The aim is simple, we have invested in the bestequipment because we want a car and driver combination capable of winning racesand the championship,” said Wagg.
“Tekno spared no expense with their cars and I amconfident that we have the right team to roll the car out at Clipsal with arace-winning set up.
“I am very excited to expand my involvement and passionfor motorsport in the Dunlop Series after being introduced to the categorythrough the extremely experienced Eggleston Motorsport team.
“Together I think EMS and Marque will be a formidablecombination that will turn some heads come the end of February.”
