23 cars entered for the final round of 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series
2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Jesse Love to drive Image Racing Commodore
Rylan Gray in box seat to claim title, Jackson Walls heads three-way rookie fight
The field for the final round of the 2025 Dunlop Super2 Series has been announced, headlined by returns for both a team and driver, and a high-profile international addition.
The field has expanded back to its usual mix of 23 cars, after 22 cars took to Mount Panorama last time out, with Kelly Racing returning with their Mustang, Eggleston Motorsport expanding back to five cars, and Masterton Motorsport dropping back out following their one-off Bathurst start.
With Mason Kelly still sitting out, Kelly Racing will run Max Geoghegan in Adelaide, with the 2024 Toyota GR Cup champion wanting to sample the Ford product before firming on his 2026 plans.
The vacancy at Image Racing allowed for the addition of 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Jesse Love to the field, with the 20-year-old Californian set to pilot the chassis vacated by Geoghegan.
Elliott Cleary also makes a welcome return from injury this weekend, having missed both races in Ipswich and the entirety of Round 5 at Bathurst.
Rylan Gray enters the final round with a commanding 147-point lead over Tickford teammate Lochie Dalton, with fellow Tickford teammates Nash Morris (-156) and Reuben Goodall (-231) the only other drivers in title contention.
With 150 points on offer in each of the weekend's two races, should Gray be the first Tickford car across the line on Saturday, he will clinch the title with a race to spare.
Gray will be one of four drivers in the field who will be graduating straight to the Repco Supercars Championship in 2026, being announced to drive at Dick Johnson Racing alongside Brodie Kostecki.
Reigning Super2 champion Zach Bates will join Matt Stone Racing next year, top Erebus Academy prospect Jobe Stewart will be promoted to a full-time ride with the team in Supercars, and Jackson Walls will also be promoted within Triple Eight, driving the team's third entry for SCT Motorsport.
Walls also enters the final round leading the rookie standings ahead of 2024 Super3 champion and Triple Eight teammate Ben Gomersall, with just 63 points covering the trio.
