Young gun Chaz Mostert has gone two for two in Kuala Lumpur heading off fierce rival Scott McLaughlin by 1.04secin the second of three challenges at the KL City Grand Prix.
The reigning Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 winner jumped out of his FG X Ford Falconand onto the fence at the conclusion of the challenge, waving to his newest fans underneath the iconic Petronas Twin Towers at the spectacular street circuit.
He started from third on the grid, and was swamped by McLaughlin who looked to squeeze through the middle of the top two cars off the start.
Craig Lowndes finished the challenge third, with Will Davison and Todd Kelly in the final two positions.
"I'm having great fun out here!" Mostert said.
"It's good to get another win and see so much support from the local fans."
The Pepsi Max driver set his fastest lap, a 1min26.067 on the 10th lap of 11.
Mostert has earned maximum points so far this weekend and is on track to stand on the top step of the first ever V8 Supercars podium in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
