The Repco Supercars Championship returns to Reid Park for this weekend’s seventh round of the 2022 season – the NTI Townsville 500.
Across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Supercars action will be headlined by two 250-kilomtere, 88-lap races.

With just three days until the cars hit the track for Practice 1, Supercars.com has listed some answers to key questions ahead of the event.
The NTI Townsville 500 will be a three-day event held across July 8-10.
The race weekend will feature two 88-lap races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
The entertainment at the NTI Townsville 500 will flow across all three days of the event, including some of the best on track displays the event has ever seen.
The famous big top entertainment precinct will return for the first time since 2019, including a Saturday night performance by legendary hip hop royalty Hilltop Hoods.

The NTI Townsville 500 will be staged in accordance with all applicable government regulations, including those responding to COVID-19, as well as a detailed COVIDSafe Event Plan prepared by Supercars and approved by government.
The event will be broadcast in full on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo, with the Seven Network providing free to air coverage on Saturday and Sunday.

The support line-up will be headlined by the Dunlop Super2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series and the Touring Car Masters Series.
In a first for Townsville, Supercars incoming Gen3 Camaro and Mustang will also be on track. The full weekend schedule can be viewed here.
The venue will be divided into two zones: General Viewing and Paddock.

Visit the Supercars Paddock on Saturday for the opportunity to meet your favourite Supercars drivers and get a personally signed poster.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet with all the drivers during the NTI Townsville 500 at the all-driver autograph session on Saturday July 9 from 8:45 am to 9:15 am.
The broader entertainment package will include SuperKids Zone, on-track demonstrations, merchandise alley and food and beverage facilities.
Children aged 12 and under are free to enter the venue in general admission areas; however, they must be always accompanied by their ticket-holding parent or guardian. Children require tickets for hospitality and grandstand areas.
The corporate experience facilities are located within the Paddock and guests are instructed to enter via the VIP Gate.
There will be food and beverage outlets located around the venue, as indicated on the Track Map.
Merchandise stalls will be located within the Trackside zone.
There will be no ATMs at the event. Cashless is preferred at this event.
Patrons may bring in limited quantities of food and drink for personal consumption. No alcohol or glass is permitted to be brought into the precinct.
Supercars will hit the Reid Park Street Circuit for the first of two 30-minute practice sessions at 10:10am local time on Friday. Check out the full weekend schedule here.
General admission access to the event is through Gate 1 and Gate 2 for pedestrians.
Gates open at 7:00am local time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Supercars Members will receive priority entry at Gate 1 (Main Gate) at the Public Access times.
A dedicated viewing area with shaded cover is attended by volunteers throughout the event and allows access to those patrons with a disability PLUS one companion.
There are three Accessible Viewing areas at this event.
These are located at the mound 2 viewing mound (D1), just inside Gate 1 and outside turn 12, next to the S16 grandstand (D2).
An additional accessible viewing platform (D3) is located in the concert zone (stage left) so patrons can enjoy the entertainment from under the big top.
For any corporate clients who have tickets in the Pit Building, there is a lift on the ground floor half-way along the building.
Reid Park is located just south of the Townsville CBD, the circuit winds its way through Reid Park where specially constructed roads form approximately 70 percent of the circuit.
Traffic diversions will be in place before and after the Supercars event due to the installation and removal of event infrastructure. To avoid delays please use alternative routes: or even better take public transport!

Free parking is available at Dean Street Car Park, which is approximately 1.5km walk to the event precinct (closest access via Gate 1).
A limited number of Accessible parking spots are available outside of Gate 1 (Stadium) and outside Gate 2 on First Street.

Public bus routes will run as scheduled, visit Translink for more information. The closest bus stop is: Flinders St, at Fletcher Street, Townsville City, located a short walk from Gate 1.
Event organisers encourage attendees to stay COVID Safe by washing their hands as often as possible and keeping a safe distance from others.
Please be courteous when queuing for entry/exit, for food and beverages or for merchandise purchases and always keep 1.5 metres from other patrons.
Otherwise, as with all events, patrons must not attend if feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case.
The event is being broadcast exclusively live and ad free on Foxtel and streamed live on Kayo across July 8-10.
The Seven Network will broadcast free to air coverage on Saturday and Sunday.
