Further Matters Arising from Race 3

Following an investigation and an admission by the following Teams that their ignition timing exceeded the maximum allowable variance, the Stewards excluded the following Cars from Race 3.

  • Triple Eight Race Engineering Car #1 and Car #888

  • Tekno Autosports Car #19 and Car #97

  • Lucas Dumbrell Investments Car #80 and Car #88

  • Motorsport Holdings Car #7 and Car #36

UPDATE 5: 1200hrs Sunday 17th March 2013

Matters from Race 3:

Following an investigation and an admission by James Moffat that he intentionally made physical contact to Scott Pye, the Stewards imposed a fine of $5,000 with $2,000 suspended until the 31/12/13.

UPDATE 4: 1030hrs Saturday 16th March 2013

Matters from Race 2:

The Stewards imposed a PLP during the race on Jamie Wincup Car #1 that the wheels were rotating prior to the Car being returned to the ground during the Pit stop.

Following an investigation and an admission by Triple Eight Race Engineering that Craig Lowndes Car #888 was carelessly released from its Pit Bay, the Stewards imposed a one Grid position loss on Car #888 Craig Lowndes for Race 3.

UPDATE 3: 1330hrs Friday 15th March 2013

Matters from Race 1:

Following an investigation and an admission by Ford Performance Racing Car #5 Mark Winterbottom was unsafely released from its Pit Bay, the Stewards imposed the penalty of 50 seconds be added to Car #5 Mark Winterbottom's Race time.

Following an investigation and an admission by Tony D'Alberto Car #3 that he had driven in a careless manner, contact on Car #36 Michael Caruso, the Stewards imposed the loss of 15 Meeting points on Car #3 Tony D'Alberto.

UPDATE 2: 1000hrs Friday 15th March 2013

Matters arising from Qualifying:

Following an investigation and an admission by Jonny Reid Car #12 that he had driven in a careless manner, caused interference to Car #34 Alex Permat, by driving slowly on the racing line, the Stewards imposed the penalty of exclusion from the session.The Stewards gave permission for Car #12 Jonny Reid to start Race 1 from rear of Grid.

Following an investigation and an admission by Lucas Dumbrell Investments Car #80 that Car #80 left Pit Lane without the permission of the CTD at the end of the session, the Stewards imposed the penalty of exclusion from the session.The Stewards gave permission for Car #80 Scott Pye to start Race 1 from rear of Grid

There were no issues.

Matters arising from Practice 1:

Following an investigation and an admission by Brad Jones Racing to a breach of Rule Schedule D3 2.3, in that Car# 8 after having crossed the finishing line failed to proceed directly to the Pit Lane, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a loss of two (2) Grid Positions for Race 1.
