Grandstand boost for 2023 VALO Adelaide 500
The South Australian Motor Sport Board has announced an increase in covered grandstand seating for the 2023 VALO Adelaide 500.
The Adelaide event made a triumphant return in 2022, and will host Supercars season finales until at least 2026.
Following the 2022 event, event organisers completed an in-depth debrief process that included patron feedback.
To improve the experience for grandstand ticketholders at the 2023 VALO Adelaide 500, almost 70 per cent of all grandstand seats will be covered.
It’s an increase of 44 per cent from 2022.
It follows news of the 2022 event injecting a record $51.85 million into the South Australian economy.
Fans are encouraged to book early to secure their grandstand seat for the 2023 VALO Adelaide 500.
All grandstand tickets will go on sale to the public in early May following the closing of the ADL500 Club priority booking program.
Four-day adult grandstand seats start from $299 for a covered seat, and $252 for an uncovered seat.
Single day adult grandstand seats start at $98 for a covered grandstand seat, and $88 for an uncovered grandstand seat.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas said: “Our investment to bring back the VALO Adelaide 500 delivered a stunning success in 2022. But we know it can be even better.
“Tight timeframes for last year’s race meant we weren’t able to secure as much shade as we would have liked. In November, I committed to increasing covered seating for this year’s event.
“Now, we’re delivering, with 84% of the Pit Lane Grandstand to be covered.”
VALO Adelaide 500 Chief Executive Mark Warren added: “For the return of the VALO Adelaide 500 in 2022, we delivered a world-class event and precinct.
“To build upon what was an enormously successful event, it was clear that further covered grandstand seating options are important to our fans.
“We pride ourselves on listening to our fans to ensure they have the best event experience possible and look forward to hosting another outstanding VALO Adelaide 500 in 2023.”
