Will Brown and Jack Perkins will combine in a Mercedes for this year’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Brown and Perkins will share the former’s Erebus Commodore Supercar at October’s Great Race.

They will unite aboard a Mercedes for another Mount Panorama attack, this time for the 12 Hour.

Brown and Perkins will share the Daimler Trucks Australia GT3 Mercedes with Mark Griffith.

Griffith has supported both Brown and Perkins’ respective careers.

May’s event will be Griffith’s eighth 12 Hour start.

He combined with Dirk Muller and Harrison Newey to finish second in the GT4 class in 2020.

In 2019, he finished 13th with Yelmer Buurman and Christina Nielson aboard a Mercedes.

Brown, who scored provisional pole at last year’s Bathurst 1000, is a previous Invitational Class winner.

Perkins, meanwhile, will make his first 12 Hour start in GT3 machinery.

"This is going to be great fun with two guys I’ve known for a long time," Griffith said.

"Jack raced the Ginettas with me back in the day, and Will has driven just about everything from the slowest car to the fastest.

"He’s raced in my production cars and even drove my daughter’s Toyota Yaris in endurance races.

"To get them both in the Mercedes will be great fun.

"I’ve been a bit of a helper of both those guys and supported them with bits and pieces over the years, but they’ve helped me too.

"This is a chance to repay what they’ve done with me and give them a crack at the 12-Hour in a good car.”

Brown added: "It’s great to be joining Griffo and Jack for the Bathurst 12 Hour. I’ve always wanted to do that race in an outright car.

"Griffo and I have raced everything, from the slowest car possible and now we’re doing it in the fastest.

"As you progress and get more experience you want to do it in the fastest cars and that’s the Mercedes-AMG GT3. I’m pumped.

"Griffo supported Jack’s career as well as mine so it just fits perfectly.”

Perkins said: "I’m really excited to get back to Bathurst and the 12 Hour.

"I did the race when it was a Production Car race but I’ve been keen to get there in a GT3 car.

"When Griffo rang and asked if I was interested, It was an easy decision."

This year's 12 Hour will be held on May 13-15. Tickets are on sale now.
