Cameron McLeod is set to continue his busy global racing program in 2025, once again competing in Supercars competition at home and endurance racing abroad.

The 2023 Mike Kable Young Gun Award winner had a mixed season in the Dunlop Super2 Series this year, having graduated after a standout Super3 campaign that featured nine poles and eight wins last year.

Although McLeod scored two podium finishes in his PremiAir-supported ZB Commodore, his year was perhaps best remembered for a massive rollover at Perth after contact with Cooper Murray.

The 19-year-old was caught up in several more incidents throughout the year in an up-and-down rookie campaign, eventually finishing 11th in the standings.

The PremiAir Racing link-up also allowed the third-generation driver to make his Repco Supercars Championship debut alongside Tim Slade in the enduros at Sandown and Bathurst, recording finishes of 12th and 19th.

McLeod has got an early preview of his international GT exploits for next year, where he will pilot a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup Car in both the 24H Middle East and 24H Europe Series.

The Queenslander will join an entry supported by Porsche specialists Bas Koeten Racing, alongside Ajith Kumar, Mathieu Detry, and Fabien Duffieux in the 992 Class for Carrera Cup machinery.

“Its fantastic to get the call up for this drive and become part of this new team," McLeod said.

“I’ve competed in GT4 and Porsche 992 Cup cars in the Middle East events for the past two years now. Last year I was lucky enough to race for Simpson Motorsport, and it was there that I drove alongside Fabian. I was fortunate enough for Fabian to recommend me to become part of the Ajith Kumar Racing team from the formation.”

McLeod's Australian program could look different in 2025, with PremiAir Racing pulling out of the Super2 Series to focus on a main game wildcard effort, with Trans Am star Nathan Herne getting laps at the team's ride day on Tuesday.

McLeod began testing the Porsche yesterday at Barcelona in Spain, at the home of the Spanish Grand Prix.

It's a unique deal for McLeod, with Kumar a notable Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil cinema.

“I'm in a very fortunate position to be able to pursue my domestic Supercar program whilst continuing to increase both my experience and connections in the GT endurance scene internationally. It’s happy days at the moment”, says McLeod.

“Thanks to PremiAir Nulon Racing for letting me ’skip out’ on the team’s ride day at Queensland Raceway on Tuesday, so I could make the trek to Barcelona for the first test.

"It’s great to meet Ajith, Mathieu and the Bas Koeten Team, and of course drive this cool car at this cool track in preparation for the 24 hour race in the new year."
