Cam Waters’ Monster Energy Ford Mustang Supercar has found a new owner.

In a social media post, Tickford Racing revealed a deal has been reached with businessman and racer Scott Taylor to purchase the car.

The car was debuted at the hands of Waters at Albert Park last year, and is a multiple race-winning chassis.

Last year, it was revealed the car was set to go up for auction. The chassis is expected to be handed over to its new owner following the ongoing season.

Taylor is a noted car collector, with the 2015 and 2018 Bathurst winning Craig Lowndes Holden Commodores under his ownership.

He is no stranger to Tickford, notably funding Nash Morris’ Super2 Series entry and transporting it with his own STM transporter.

Waters also raced an STM-run Mercedes with Lowndes and Thomas Randle at the last two Bathurst 12 Hours.

The car sale comes amid speculation Tickford is chasing a change to ownership.

Tickford CEO Simon Brookhouse said: “We’re very pleased to see the car known as TR30 go to someone who is a supporter of both Tickford and Cam.

“Scott is well known to motorsport and understands the pedigree of a car like this.

“We have no doubt it will be in safe hands beyond this season, and look forward to seeing it mounted on the Scott Taylor Motorsport wall with the other notable cars in Taylor’s collection.”

Waters is fourth in points heading to Ipswich on August 8-10.
