Bright to debut new livery in Townsville
Prodrive's Jason Bright will debut a new-look MEGA Fuels livery at the Townsville 400 as he celebrates his 250th Supercars round start.
MEGA Fuels National Motorsport Manager Terry Knight says that the livery change was important to bring the car in-line with a national branding change.
The new colours were shown off today alongside the MEGA-sponsored Garry Jacobson Dunlop Super2 car and Liam Talbot's Walkinshaw-run Porsche Australian GT entry.
Bright's new livery will remain for the rest of the season.
“Our sponsorship direction has changed since the opening round of the season and with that our overall look has changed as well,” said Knight.
“It was important for our branding changes to be reflected on the car and we’re excited to have it happen in-line with such a big weekend for both Jason and the team.
“The Prodrive Racing team is one big family and we’re thrilled to be increasing our sponsorship with them and make the car as ‘mega’ as possible.
"It’s such a great sport to invest in for our business and it’s important for us to really get behind Jason and Garry as we near the endurance season.
“The MEGA Fuels FG X now reflects our corporate branding that features on Liam Talbot’s Australian GT car which will also be running this weekend.
“This new MEGA branding now falls in line with our full motorsport program.
“We think it looks absolutely fantastic. The car looks more aggressive and is a step up from the livery that has served us well in the first half of the year.”
Bright says he's thankful for the MEGA backing which enabled him to remain a full-time Supercars driver this year following his exit from Brad Jones Racing.
The veteran brought his Racing Entitlements Contract to Prodrive, which had already secured the backing for a fourth car to replace its previous Super Black customer entry.
“It’s exciting to be running a new livery in Townsville and I would like to thank everyone at MEGA Fuels for their support so far this year,” said Bright.
“The car is certainly unique. There’s nothing like this out on the track at the moment and it’s an aggressive look which I like.
“Hopefully with the new livery and my 250th championship round we’ll have a bit of luck and get some good results.”
