A live pit lane will debut in the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship after the concept was approved by the Supercars Commission.

In 2023, per Rule D.2.1 in the Supercars Operations Manual, the pit lane order is allocated based on the previous year’s final teams' championship order.

For the first round in 2024, the Bathurst 500, the pit lane order will be allocated by Supercars based on the final classification of the final 2023 teams' championship order.

At Round 1, the champion team to occupy Pit Bay 1. The team with the second highest points will occupy Pit Bay 2, and so on.

From Round 2 onwards, the pit lane order will be allocated by Supercars based on the final classification of the team points report of the previous event.

The team from the previous event with the highest team points accrued will occupy Pit Bay 1. The team with the second highest points from the previous event will occupy Pit Bay 2, and so on.

In 2024, there will be 10 two-car teams, with Blanchard Racing Team expanding from one to two cars. Tickford Racing, meanwhile, has downscaled from four to two cars.

Brad Jones Racing is the sole four-car team on the grid next season, and under the new rules, BJR crews will continue to be paired together in pit lane.

If a live pit lane was in place, current leaders Erebus Motorsport would be at the head of pit lane for the VAILO Adelaide 500 season finale.

Red Bull Ampol Racing would occupy the third and fourth garages, with BJR occupying the next four pit garages.

The team from the previous event with the highest team points accrued to that point in the season will occupy Pit Bay 1. The team with the second highest points from the previous event will occupy Pit Bay2, and so on.

Erebus leads Chevrolet rivals Triple Eight by 170 points heading to Adelaide, with BJR fourth ahead of Shell V-Power Racing Team.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will conclude at the VAILO Adelaide 500 on November 23-26. Tickets are on sale now.
