Fans have unanimously voted Will Brown's Adelaide skid as the best of 2024

Supercars' newest champion has had the tick of approval from fans, with Will Brown's Adelaide burnout voted the best of 2024 in a Supercars.com poll.

Brown clinched the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship at the VAILO Adelaide 500, with the Triple Eight Race Engineering driver charging through the field to win after being turned early.

As is now tradition, the champion celebrates with burnouts in front of the packed pit straight grandstand, and Brown didn't disappoint.

The Queenslander's efforts weren't lost on fans, with Brown's Adelaide burnout topping a Supercars.com poll with 26 percent of the votes.

Brown's efforts also earned praise from 2005 champion Russell Ingall, with Brown mimicking Ingall's famous burnout by opening the door and sitting up out of his car.

The new champion did it the hard way, however, joking he wasn't as flexible as Ingall, while copping some stray rubber from his shredded tyres to his hand.

Brown beat Cam Waters, who had three celebration burnouts in the top four, led by his monster skid down the straight en route to the hairpin in Tasmania, followed by burnouts on the Gold Coast and Townsville.

Chaz Mostert's epic burnout in Sydney rounded out the top five.

Here’s how the voting broke down amongst the top five:

    • Will Brown, Adelaide, 26%

    • Cam Waters, Tasmania, 24%

    • Cam Waters, Gold Coast, 17%

    • Cam Waters, Townsville, 9%

    • Chaz Mostert, Sydney, 9%

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will commence at the opening round in Sydney on February 21-23. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
