Aaron Love returns to Supercars competition in Perth
24-year-old to run with Eggleston Motorsport in Perth, Sandown Super2 rounds
Former BRT Supercars driver not giving up on potential Supercars return
Aaron Love has sealed a return to Supercars competition, locking in a two-round DUNLOP Super2 Series cameo beginning next week in Perth.
Love, who contested the 2023 Super2 season with Blanchard Racing Team, will drive a fifth Eggleston Motorsport Commodore at his home event in Perth, before returning for the penultimate round at Sandown in November.
It will mark Love's first event in any tier of Supercars since he parted way with BRT following the opening round of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney.
Having started 29 races with BRT in the main game between 2023 and 2025, the former Super2 race winner is adamant he can return to full-time Supercars competition, and that Eggleston is the best place to revive those ambitions.
"It's great to have the opportunity to jump back into a Supercar, this time being back in a Super2 car and also making the switch to GM is cool as I grew up a Holden fan," said Love.
"Supercars is ultimately where I want to be, I've been there before, I know how hard it is, let alone getting there.
"To be part of Eggleston's and have the support from Rachael and Ben for the two rounds is a really cool opportunity.
"They've helped groom a lot of drivers into Supercars, and successful ones at that, so I can be pretty confident they run a tight ship and a good program."
Eggleston Motorsport co-owner and Team Manager Rachael Eggleston added: "We are excited to have Aaron a part of the team for the Perth and Sandown rounds, and help him get back into the Supercar racing scene.
"Being a proud West Australian, it's a great place for him to get back in the seat, he will have a lot of support.
"We competed against Aaron in 2023 when he ran in Super2, he was super fast then and we're sure it's no different now.
"I think he will come into this round with a lot more experience under his belt and be hungry to get some solid results."
Love returned to his roots in a full-time Carrera Cup campaign this year, and currently sits fourth in the standings.
Eggleston run Cody Burcher, Bayley Hall, Elliott Cleary, and Bradi Owen in four full-time Super2 entries.
The third round of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series will be held in Perth from July 31-August 2.
