MCM leasing ex-Walkinshaw Holdens used in 2025 Super2 season
A rising star with main game connections is set to join the DUNLOP Super2 Series in Perth.
Walkinshaw Foundation Academy young gun Lincoln Taylor is set to join Matt Chahda Motorsport in Western Australia, in what is initially a one-off deal.
Taylor steps into the team's second ex-Walkinshaw Commodore in place of Jordyn Sinni. Chahda remains in the team's lead Commodore.
Walkinshaw closed their own Super2 team at the conclusion of 2025, with the team's two chassis' being leased to MCM in a last-minute deal ahead of this season.
Taylor, who is currently third in Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge after finishing second in the 2025 Toyota GR Cup with Walkinshaw, will also count on the services of Warren Luff as a driver coach.
"Very excited to announce that next weekend I will be making my debut in the DUNLOP Super2 Series at the Perth Super 440," announced the 17-year-old via social media on Wednesday evening.
"I would like to thank Walkinshaw Foundation Academy for their support in pulling this opportunity together, and for giving me the chance to take the next step towards reaching my racing goals.
"I will be driving with Matt Chahda Motorsport and will have Warren Luff in my corner guiding me through my debut."
Taylor comes from a successful off-road racing family, and joins fellow Walkinshaw Foundation Academy driver Matt Hillyer (Brad Jones Racing) on the grid.
Taylor is the second change to the Perth Super2 field, following the announcement that former Supercars full-timer Aaron Love is returning on a part-time basis in a fifth Eggleston Motorsport Holden.
The third round of the 2026 DUNLOP Super2 Series will be held at the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 from July 31-August 2.
